Conformity assessment (testing, measuring, conformity approval, accreditation, surveillance) is the activity to determine that a subject of conformance evaluation meets the requirements of technical normative legal acts in the field of technical regulation and standardization. Its objectives are: to protect human life, health and inheritance, property and environment; to raise competitive capacity of products (services); to create favorable conditions to ensure free flow of products in the domestic and foreign markets, as well as participation in international economic , scientific and technical cooperation and international trade.
The certification procedure applies to products (equipment), produced by enterprises, organizations, institutions, regardless of their form of ownership, including the ones with foreign investments on the territory of the Republic of Belarus, as well as imported into the country for sale and further operation.
Obligatory certification of products and services is carried out according to the safety requirements standards to ensure protection of human life, health and inheritance, property and environment protection, technical compatibility with the public telecommunication networks of the Republic of Belarus.
The procedure of obtaining a certificate of conformity of products and services includes:
Filing an application for certification and providing annexed materials (documents with source information on
safety and quality of services, the personnel providing services);
Analysis of technical documentation for products (provided services);
Action on the application;
Drawing up a contract;
Identification of products and sampling (identification of services);
Testing (if provided for by the certification scheme);
Assessment of production (if provided for by the certification scheme). Assessment of services.
